North Pembrokeshire
This is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire and all its glorious beaches and fantastic coastal scenery. Lampit Cove Cottages are situated alongside the coastal path, known as the Marine Walk, in the friendly market town of Fishguard in north Pembrokeshire.

Fishguard has a good selection of shops for food and gifts as well as galleries, tearooms, restaurants and a bookshop. The town square is the heart of the town and this is where you will find the Town Hall.

A farmers market is held here every Saturday, where local farmers and producers sell their locally grown produce. Thursday is the traditional market day and the stall holders include a butcher and fishmonger. And on Tuesday the Town Hall is home to Country Markets, what used to be known as the WI market. The Tourist Information Centre is also situated in the Town Hall. Upstairs in the Town Hall is displayed the "Last Invasion Tapestry" which commemorates the last invasion of Britain. This is definitely worth a visit and entry is free. The tapestry is next to the town's library where internet access is available.
There is a good selection of pubs around the town, many serving good food, and two small supermarkets, a Co-op and CK's, and a small Tesco is situated just along the road to Fishguard's sister town of Goodwick. All the shops and facilities in Fishguard are within easy walking distance of the cottages; less than 10 minutes walk and with no steep hills.
