Things to do:

You may simply want to relax and enjoy the beauty of Pembrokeshire, but for those who want a more active holiday the choice is endless.

Pembrokeshire is famous for unspoilt sandy beaches, tucked away coves, fishing harbours, and a coastal path where wildlife, flowers and seabirds abound.  Offshore are the internationally renowned bird sanctuary islands of Skomer, Grassholm, Skokholm and Ramsey, where you will also find colonies of seals. During the autumn in the more sheltered coves seals can be seen feeding their young.

Pembrokeshire is a walkers paradise with 186 miles of spectacular coastal scenery in the National Park or head for the wooded valley of the River Gwaun or the wild open spaces of the Preseli Hills.

Fish in nearby rivers for trout, salmon and sea trout; and there are several fisheries for coarse fishing.  Take a boat trip either to do some sea fishing or to spot dolphins, porpoises and seals.

Sailing, kayaking and windsurfing are popular and the more adventurous should try coasteering; a combination of rock climbing and swimming along the water’s edge.

For the swimmer and surfer there are wide open stretches of sandy beaches which even at the height of summer are never crowded.

Pony trekking on the Preseli Hills is within easy reach, and there is horse riding at stables just outside Fishguard.

Golf is available at Newport, Priskilly, near Letterson,  St David’s and Haverfordwest.
